Introduction/specifics

Children from the age of 1 until they start school are lovingly looked after in eight comfortably furnished, bright group rooms. Our well trained teachers support children with and without disabilities together in small, age-homogeneous groups. The aim of our educational work is to enable children to act independently and to encourage social interaction. We work according to the situational approach. Our daily routines and rituals offer the children security and orientation. In order to support the integrative concept our staff is trained in special education. Beyond that there are additional rooms such as a relaxation room, a creative room, two therapy rooms as well as supporting therapeutic materials. The company fresh4kids from Limbach-Oberfrohna provides us with lunch. It is cooked fresh every morning, without any chemical additives.

Our kindergarten celebrated its 70th birthday in 2023. With its 2,250m² beautiful garden and its cozy rooms it is an absolute highlight for all children. 

Basics

We look after disabled and non-disabled children together in small, age-homogeneous groups. We work according to the situational approach. Children should be empowered to act independently. Mutual consideration for the needs and wishes of the group plays a major role. Our motto is: "The journey is the destination".

The educational offerings are always inspired by nature’s annual cycle. Thanks to the large garden and the proximity to Goethehain Park and the adjacent forest, we have a variety of opportunities to incorporate nature into the development of children.

Christmas at Goethehain kindergarten

The kindergarten groups started “Christmas Day” with a Christmas breakfast. The members of the parents' council performed a fairy tale for the children. This year it was “Frau Holle”. The children's eyes lit up, as this was the second highlight of the day before Santa's visit.

After the theater, the children waited patiently for Santa Claus. Some presents were distributed. Among other things, each child received a present for home, tailored to their age. But there were also some surprises for the whole kindergarten, such as yoga mats, Toniboxes and Tonis, jumping pillows, soft building blocks and various games for all age groups.

Children with special needs may require clarification with the Central Saxony social welfare office in order to be able to adapt the care key to suit their needs.

Description and Stations

The kindergarden can be reached from two sides. The upper entrance is on Gartenstrasse, the lower entrance is on the corner of Gabelsberger Strasse and Mühlfeld.

Cars can be parked on the surrounding streets Gartenstraße, Gabelsberger Straße and Mühlfeld.

The nearest bus stop is on Hainichener Straße near the hospital.
